Concrete sculpture - fragment of utopia
A personal project that required a sculptural piece to be crafted to take onboard the brutalist architecture of London and specifically Thamesmead, that was due for demolition and re-development. This sculpture was hand-carved to capture a material fragment of Thamesmead. The sculpture can rest on any face to show a unique form derived from this architecture thus changing its form and function.
